Collected With Care: The Story Behind My Mini Hydrangea Collection

I’m currently working on a small, intimate series of original hydrangea paintings inspired by softness, nostalgia, and quiet beauty. The Mini Hydrangea Collection is made up of four mini floral paintings—three are complete so far—each one created slowly with layered texture, muted blush and navy tones, and gentle, shadowed greens.

Hydrangeas have always felt timeless to me. Their full blooms and subtle color shifts lend themselves beautifully to small-scale work, allowing each painting to feel personal and collected rather than bold or overpowering. These mini originals are designed to stand alone or be displayed together as a set.

Once finished, each piece will be framed in a warm maple shelf-sitter frame, making them easy to style on a bookshelf, mantle, or bedside table. This collection is perfect for collectors who love romantic home decor, vintage-inspired florals, and original artwork that quietly blends into everyday life.
