Welcome, I'm Jenny.
A Maryland artist, mother, and lifelong lover of the natural world. I’ve been drawn to creativity since childhood, spending my early years reading, drawing, daydreaming and spending time outdoors. That love led me to study Art and Design in college and earn a Master’s in Art Education. But like many things, painting took a back seat to life for a while.
It came back to me slowly, after the near death experience during the birth of my eldest daughter. During my recovery, I returned to making things, and found that art had a way of steadying me that nothing else could. That experience changed how I paint and why. It taught me that art is medicine.
That lesson has kept finding me. More recently, a blood clot in my subclavian vein led to a diagnosis of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and once again, painting became the thing that held me steady through a body that felt unfamiliar. It’s taught me to work differently, more patiently, and it’s reminded me why I make art in the first place, not despite the hard seasons, but often because of them.
I paint nostalgic landscapes inspired by my surroundings in rural Maryland: open fields, big skies, old barns. I’m drawn to ordinary things that carry quiet emotional weight. The moments most people drive past without a second look. I try to hold them still long enough for someone to feel something.
My work is for the unhurried soul. For homes that feel like a soft place to land. For people who believe a painting on the wall can carry memory and meaning for generations.
