Tiny Stories of Winter: A Look Inside My New Mini Paintings
Share
This season, I’ve been spending time with a series of tiny winter mini paintings on paper. These 4x4 inch intimate works feel like holding a quiet moment in your hands — soft, nostalgic scenes captured in rich texture and winter tones.

The minis feature some of my favorite subjects:
• Snowy red barns in peaceful winter fields
• Winter botanicals
• Creamy poinsettias with warm golden underlayers
• A cozy moonlit landscape
• A sweet little duck resting in frosty reeds

Each one is its own tiny story. Cozy, nostalgic, and meant to make you pause and breathe in the beauty of the season.
Why I Love Creating Mini Paintings
There’s a unique joy in creating art at this size. It allows me to:
✨ Slow down and paint with intention
Work becomes soft and quiet, almost like journaling with color.
✨ Explore color palettes and textures deeply
Winter’s muted greens, warm browns, soft whites, and moody blues all find their way into these studies.

✨ Capture the hidden magic in everyday scenes
A moonrise. A single leaf. A quiet barn. A duck resting in tall grass. Small things become tender, beautiful things.

Framed & Ready to Hang: A Sneak Peek
These minis will be available for sale soon, and I’m thrilled to share that many will come framed, matted, and ready to hang — just like the example shown here.

The warm wood frame paired with the deep black mat makes the artwork feel timeless, elevated, and perfect for cozy corners, bookshelves, or gallery walls. These little framed pieces make beautiful gifts too — intimate, handcrafted, and one-of-a-kind.

Collectors love how easy minis are to style:
• Lean them on a bookshelf
• Hang them in a grouping
• Add them to a seasonal vignette
• Gift them to someone who loves meaningful, handmade art

Their small size makes them beautiful accents for winter décor without overwhelming a space.
Available Soon!

Warmly, Jenny
