My Favorite Glass Painting Supplies

My glass painting journey began as a hobby and over time has become a profitable business. Along the windy path I have tested out many glass paints and materials. Some have been amazing and high quality, others have fallen short, and subsequently have landed in the trash can!

Below I’ve a listed a few of my favorite glass painting supplies and why I love them. (This post may contain affiliate links.)

After testing many different glass paints I have found that Pebeo Vitrea 160 is my favorite!

  • The paint is non -toxic, as a Mom the safety of products is very important to me.

  • Pebeo Vitrea 160 comes in a variety of colors & finishes.

  • The paint is high quality. Once baked according to manufacturer’s instructions, the paint is permanent, heat and UV resistant, and dishwasher safe

Pre -drilled Flat Glass Ornaments

I love these glass ornament blanks because they are pre drilled, come in a variety of shapes and are affordable. You can purchase from Etchworld.

Paint Brushes

I highly recommend investing in quality paint brushes for glass painting. My favorite paint brushes for glass painting are size 2 and smaller, round, soft bristle or watercolor brushes.

  • Allows for smooth flow of paint

  • Prevents unsightly paint streaks

I purchased mine from Blick Art Materials.
